Parent Teacher Conferences

Monday, November 20, 12:30-4:00 p.m. & 5:00-7:00 p.m.
All parents are invited to meet individually with the teachers of their son/daughter
Conferences will be on a walk-in basis for 5-7 minutes
Students are encouraged to participate in the conferences

 

Annual Junior Class College Trip

Sturgis West's Counseling Department has scheduled the annual Junior Class College Trip for December 8, 2017.

This is a half-day of school, but students on the trip will be away for the full day.

Students may visit either UMass Boston or Suffolk University in the morning, and Bridgewater State in the afternoon.

Please use the PayPal link below to pay for the trip; the cost is $14. Students must also submit a permission slip to the Counseling Office in order to be registered; choice of morning college is first-come, first-served. Both items must be submitted by December 1.

WORLD CHALLENGE FOR JUNIORS

The June 2018 World Challenge trip for Juniors to Nicaragua is on! this trip will include trekking, camping, community service and a day of relaxation - ten days in al. You may still join us. Contact Betta Hanson at world Challenge directly for instructions on how you can register for the trip.

12/8 is a half day and class will run from noon-3:00
Classes held in the Annex study hall- M-F 3:15- 6:30 daily.

The Washington Post once again recognizes Sturgis

The Washington Post recently announced the 2017 High School Challenge Index based on its review of 2016 data from high schools across the U.S. They ranked Sturgis the #3 public school in MA, #8 public school in the Northeast, and #132 in the U.S (across both public and private schools). Additionally, Sturgis is ranked #1 among MA public schools for the highest "percentage of graduates who passed at least one college-level test during their high school career" with 97%. Congratulations to Sturgis faculty and students for achieving this recognition of excellence!
