Senior Service Day

Seniors at both campuses participate in a Senior Service Day during Senior Week before graduation.  The Senior Service Day is a culmination of the students’ past two years of C.A.S.  In the past, service sites included the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, Cotuit Center for the Arts, Homeless not Helpless shelters, Housing Assistance Corporation shelters, the Cape Cod Maritime Museum, the MSPCA, Zion Union Heritage Museum, and the New England Mountain Bike Association (NEMBA) which had students rebuilding an old mountain biking trail in Barnstable.  The seniors have helped with everything from landscaping to clerical work and are always open to new challenges!

The C.A.S coordinators, and Sturgis students, are always seeking to connect with organizations in and around Cape Cod.  If you are part of an organization who would like to work with us to organize a service opportunity, or have a suggestion for us, please email Christine McDowell at or Jim Barrasso at
