Distance Learning Plan 2.0

Teachers will be posting assignments by Sunday evening of each week on Google Classroom. Please check there for all materials.

Please view the most recent Grading Policy [updated 5/1/20] that includes a link to the Rubric for Additional Points [updated 5/1].

• Students will connect with their teachers via Google Meet.
• Learning will take place in a variety of ways, including large group video calls, pre-recorded videos, work packets, projects, and other resources.
• Assignments will continue to be posted on and delivered via Google Classroom.

Google Meet is a secure distance learning tool (similar to Zoom). A recent blog outlines some of Google’s added security measures for educators.

How to set it up:

• Here is our Google “Cheat Sheet” for students.
  • Included is a video tutorial to:
    • Download, install, and use Google Chrome
    • Download and install Google Meet Grid View.
• This video discusses norms of Sturgis digital meetings and the functions of Google Meet.
